Our people - Front of house team
Emily Hopkins
Front of House manager. Emily came to The Ox at the end of 2010 and has quickly taken a leading role in the front of the pub. We recently promoted her to Front of House manager and she now heads up the team for us. Emily originally qualified as a PE teacher and regularly plays cricket for a local ladies team.
Jill Gillett
Jill lives in the village and is in the midst of a hospitality apprenticeship with us. She is to be seen at the pub every weekend and most shifts in between but does still manage to have a lie-in a couple of times a week. NB Jill is not to be confused with her twin sister Laura who also does the occasional session with us!
Diane James
Diane ably assists Emily and Jill making sure our customers have a great time whilst with us. She joined the team in June and lives just across the fields in Wilmington, and her cheery face can be seen at the pub on weekday lunchtimes as well as several evenings during the week.
Abi
Abi joined us earlier this year and works at the pub whilst studying at Brighton University to become a science teacher. She is mad on horses and regularly competes when she has the time away from the pub!
