Head Chef – Mike joined us early in 2012 from Webbes at Rock-a-Nore in Hastings. He has been in the industry for 16 years and is due to get married later in 2012. He also has a 15 month old son who keeps him busy when he's not in the kitchen! Mike loves his sport, especially darts and is an avid Spurs fan. Watch this space for the great things that Mike will be doing at The Ox over the coming months and years!
Second Chef - Ross has been with us since 2007 and has recently been promoted from third to second chef. An avid Liverpool fan (he'd wear red chef 'whites' if he could!), Ross is a real asset to our kitchen team. Ross runs the kitchen on Sunday and you can usually smell his Yorkshire puds from many miles away!
Third Chef - Sammie came to us at the beginning of the summer in 2010. She had previously worked at the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne and before that was studying at Sussex Downs College, also in Eastbourne, where Head Chef Neil taught her all she knows in the kitchen!
Kitchen Assistant - Pam ably supports the chefs in the kitchen on Monday to Friday lunchtimes. Pam lives just a couple of villages away from the pub and is a keen dog walker. Her soups are legendary and her chilli bean soup is currently gracing the menu at The Ox!
Kitchen Assistant – Lance started at The Ox in November of last year and is quickly becoming a multi-skilled member of the team. When not working at the pub Lance is studying construction at Hastings College and swims for the Bexhill swimming club in his free time.
