Our people

We have always been very fortunate in attracting some great people to work with us at The Sussex Ox. Our mantra is the same today as when we started over five years ago: find the right personality and we can teach the rest.

Almost all of the people we work with live within 5 or 6 miles of the pub, allowing some of them to even cycle to work! We are keen to further employees' experience and qualifications and we work closely with Sussex Downs College in Eastbourne offering the relevant NVQs and apprenticeships, as well as Health & Safety Training and First Aid.
